What Is a Laser Cleaner?

Laser cleaner uses a laser beam to remove contaminants from a surface without damaging the material. The laser cleaning machine is a versatile cleaning method that can be used in various industries for cleaning metals, stones and plastics. The laser cleaning machine is a safe, nonhazardous alternative to traditional cleaning methods such as chemical solvents, manual and abrasive blasting and dry ice cleaning.

Lasers have been used in industrial applications such as cutting, drilling and welding for a long time. However, it was not until recently that they were adapted for laser surface cleaning. This new application of the laser was a response to the need for a clean, efficient and environmentally-friendly method to replace toxic and hazardous chemicals, manual labor and abrasive abrasion.

Conventional chemical and abrasive cleaning methods leave behind significant waste and can cause damage to delicate surfaces. The use of chemical solvents produces hazardous vapors and liquid waste. Laser surface cleaning machine is a cleaner, safer and more effective method that eliminates these problems.

Unlike conventional cleaning techniques, laser cleaning machine does not leave residue or require any drying or curing time. Moreover, the laser cleaning machine is a fast and high-quality cleaning method. This makes it a desirable alternative to traditional cleaning methods. In addition, laser cleaning machines are precise and can be adjusted to specific surface areas for better cleaning performance.

There are many types of laser cleaning machines available in the market today. The most common type is a mobile handheld laser cleaning machine that can be easily moved anywhere for cleaning. This system is used for automotive, aerospace and steel fabrication industries among others. Another option is a robot-mounted laser cleaning machine that can be mounted on robot arms to perform precise and fast surface processing. This is ideal for assembly production lines and robots used in manufacturing processes.

Both types of laser cleaners have multiple safety features to ensure a safe operation. They include a manual reset, key-locked laser power switch and an interlock connector to prevent accidental exposure to laser radiation.

Laser rust removal is one of the most popular laser cleaning machine applications. The laser cleaning machines can be used to remove corrosion contamination on metal surfaces such as steel and aluminum. They can also be used to remove corrosion on glass, ceramics and polymers. Other applications of laser cleaning machines are the preparation of components for joining or bonding processes and the removal of coatings such as paint, phosphates, and die-cast dies. The angular laser cleaning technique is claimed to drastically increase the efficiency of the process by irradiating a contaminant at a glancing angle. It is claimed to reduce the cleaning time 20-fold compared to perpendicular irradiation. This enables faster processing and less energy consumption. This also allows for a smaller laser footprint and a safer workplace environment.
