How to Install a Tap Burner in Your Bathroom

A tap burner is used to remove broken taps from radiators and bath tubs.tap burner As a boiler replacement, the boiler will need to be taken out of the house, usually in the room where the tap is, and removed. Then, the old fitting needs to be removed from the radiator or tub using specialist equipment. The new fitting will be put in place and a cover needs to be fitted so that the boiler can be placed back in its place.

One of the first things to do when fitting a tap burner is to measure the height and diameter of the holes for the screws to be fitted into.tap burner It is often a good idea to use a tape measure to ensure that the measurements are precise as otherwise a gap may develop between the work pieces and the holes in the radiator or tub. Next, the work pieces need to be lined up with the holes at the top and bottom of the radiator or tub and then the screws or bolts need to be inserted and tightened into the holes so that they hold firmly in place. The work pieces need to be attached firmly to the work surface so that the bottom edge of the fitting is level and the height of the radiator or tub is correct.

The holes for the screws or bolts are drilled straight into the radiators or tubs so that the tap filler will be able to screw into the bottom of the fitting. The next step is to line up the tap burner with the new holes on the work surface. The height of the tap burner should be the same as that of the boiler. If this isn't the case then it may be necessary to add a few extra lengths of PVC pipe to accommodate the height of the tap. Once the correct height is measured, then it can be measured and the necessary PVC pipe can be purchased from any good plumbers supplier.

Next the holes are drilled into the floor and wall for the supply lines to the outer surface of the fitting. This allows you to assemble the plumbing and pipework if required. After the pipe has been bought and attached, the fitting is ready for the thermite burners. Again, the holes for the screws or bolts are drilled straight into the walls and floor for the supply lines to the outer surface of the fitting. As before the holes are drilled straight into the ground for the supply line to the outer surface of the fitting. This allows the thermite burners to be mounted for use.

The outer surface of the boiler or tub is then ready for the thermite burners. Again, as before the holes are drilled straight into the ground for the supply lines to the outer surface of the fitting. This allows the thermite burners to be mounted for use. The stainless steel fitting and pipes for the burners are connected and fixed into position. The thermostatic mix valve for the burninator is then fitted into the pipe.

Once the fitting and pipes have been fixed, it's time to hook up the waterline from the supply line to the burner. The waterline should be run to the right hand side of the work surface for the gas flow. The water supply should be turned off, as there is no hot water supply for the work surface when using a propane burner. Finally, you can turn on the electricity and turn on the fuses. When all the electricity is running, turn on the heat and get ready to enjoy your beautiful new boiler!
